Our client, a Financial Services firm headquartered in NY, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to create a next-generation platform for private markets, focusing on seamless client servicing and fund administration. Their mission is to harness next-gen technology to revolutionize operational workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and exceptional client experiences. 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in building the core systems that power their platform. Partnering closely with product managers, architects, and operations teams, you will design and deliver secure, scalable, and extensible solutions that drive operational excellence and enable superior client outcomes. 

What You’ll Do:

Platform Development 

• Build and maintain core modules for workflow orchestration, case management, and automation. 

• Implement scalable backend services using modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven systems). 

• Contribute to the development of the agentic infrastructure enabling AI-driven task execution. 

Data & Integration 

• Design and extend the data abstraction layer to unify fragmented systems of record.  

• Develop robust APIs and integration frameworks to connect with GPs, fund admins, CRM systems, and document repositories. 

Engineering Excellence 

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. 

• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure architectural integrity and performance. 

• Optimize systems for scalability, observability, and fault tolerance. 

• Understand holistic view of the entire enterprise landscape from both a functional and technical perspective 

Collaboration & Leadership 

• Work cross-functionally with product and operations teams to develop technical solutions that meet business needs.  

• Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of peers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

• 6+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, ideally in fintech or private markets. 

• Strong proficiency in building distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. 

• Experience with workflow engines, orchestration platforms, or case management systems. 

• Solid understanding of data modelling, API design, and system integration. 

• Knowledge of security, permissioning, and audit logging in financial services environments. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset. 

• Familiarity with LLMs or agentic AI frameworks is a plus.
