Our client, a top-tier Management and Strategy consulting firm is in a need of a qualified Project Manager with significant experience in Sales and Marketing (Salesforce). The project is focused on assessing our client’s Sales & Marketing application portfolio and developing a strategic roadmap. A key requirement is to understand how the client Business Units leverage the current CRM/Salesforce platform and 100+ ancillary applications to perform to enable marketing & sales activities (largely inherited through merger/acquisition/divestiture). The end goal is to simplify the environment by consolidating tools based on their functionality and business needs. This will include streamlining of the applications portfolio through developing application rationalization recommendations, improving the value delivered, and recommending a strategy for new investments.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Develop a comprehensive inventory and assessment of current Sales and Marketing apps (mostly on Salesforce).
Develop Total Cost of Ownership models/projections for each application.
Capture the current state with respect to metrics/KPIs that demonstrate business impact generated by each application and core use cases.
Develop process and systems maps of the Sales and Marketing functions and which/how applications are used by each function. Identify the key data flows and application integration points, identify redundancies, and make recommendations around data used and generated by these functions.
Develop a business and IT governance process for future investments in the sales and marketing portfolio.
Develop a strategy for managing these applications, and a roadmap to implement agreed-upon changes in this area.
Define/redefine business processes related to online customer service/self-service processes with customers via online, agent, chat, SMS, email, and other channels.
Coordinate with technology architects to help define the roadmap and identify any key buy vs. build decisions necessary.
Understand processes across multiple technologies including online & CRM vendor(s), SAP, internal & external online channels, and others.
Manages scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocations and deliverables for the project.
Facilitates project status meetings and key stakeholder reviews.
Manages issues and risks to minimize exposure and risk on project.
Provides leadership to diagnose and overcome barriers to team/project progress.
Executes implementation plan and monitor progress, perform project review.
Identifies and engages key Stakeholders as appropriate.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope.
Reviews project deliverables.
Elevates all critical issues and risks with suggested courses of action.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Creates and manages the following deliverables: Project Workplans, Project Risks and Issues Log, and Weekly Status Report/Dashboards
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of overall experience as a Sr. Project Manager including experience with CRM systems and processes, digital marketing operations, and managing customer experience initiatives such as IVR, online enhancements and/or billing simplification.
Prior experience with leading an application rationalization initiative would be a big plus.
Prior experience in “Big 4” management consulting or similar is preferable.
Prior experience with the Salesforce platform would be a big plus.
Experience managing projects in Agile/Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
Successful track record delivering projects successfully and within budget.
Demonstrated ability to make technical concepts understood by non-technical people.
Ability to be organized and multi-task; to establish and follow priorities.
Strong communicator across verbal, in person, graphical and document-centric formats.
Able to lead discussions to drive initiatives with guidance from a Program Manager/Lead and work independently as required.
Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, in addition to excellent client interfacing and presentation skills.
Project Management Certification (PMP) a plus.
