PMO Lead

Our client is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to support a leading building materials manufacturing company following a recent acquisition. This role will oversee the front-end definition, prioritization, and launch of a portfolio of IT enablement and integration initiatives, ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy and the target operating model. The PMO Lead will partner closely with Business Partners and IT leadership to rationalize demand, develop business cases, and prepare initiatives for funding and execution within a CIO-led portfolio environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Lead PMO activities supporting post-acquisition technology integration and enterprise process standardization
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define needs, validate demand, and rationalize solution options
  • Develop and apply prioritization methodologies (value, effort, risk, readiness, dependencies, change impact) to build an integrated roadmap
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to design consolidated and standardized business processes
  • Translate business process outcomes into actionable, fundable IT initiatives
  • Draft comprehensive project charters (scope, objectives, benefits, stakeholders, risks, resourcing, timeline assumptions)
  • Build and coordinate business case inputs and ensure initiatives are launch-ready with clear ownership and governance
  • Establish and operate governance routines including steering updates, RAID logs, decision tracking, and executive reporting
  • Provide concise, executive-ready updates on progress, tradeoffs, risks, and decisions required
  • Coordinate across impacted business functions (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, sales, finance) to ensure successful integration and enablement

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in PMO, program, or project management delivering enterprise technology initiatives
  • Strong IT background with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technology enablement efforts
  • Experience driving portfolio intake, prioritization, roadmap development, and governance within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Proven ability to facilitate workshops and translate business process needs into clear IT initiatives
  • Strong experience creating project charters and preparing initiatives for funding and launch
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, comfortable engaging directly with CIO-level leadership
  • Experience supporting post-merger integration or multi-entity technology integration initiatives preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise application landscapes (ERP ecosystems), integration planning, and technology rationalization preferred
