Our client is seeking a Market Risk & Audit Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support delivery of the CACR Market Risk Audit plan, including point-in-time audit reviews and issue validation activities. The consultant will evaluate control effectiveness, perform business process reviews, and validate remediation actions to ensure market risk exposures are appropriately mitigated through sustainable controls.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Perform business process reviews to identify risks and related controls within market risk environments
- Design and execute tests to assess control design adequacy and operating effectiveness
- Document testing results to support audit conclusions and reporting requirements
- Support point-in-time audit reviews under oversight of audit leadership
- Conduct issue validation activities, including development of testing programs and validation of control enhancements
- Document validation results and remediation outcomes
- Work closely with audit managers and senior audit stakeholders throughout engagement delivery
Requirements
- Strong subject matter expertise in traded markets and market risk, including CVA, risk factor sensitivities, VaR models, and stress testing methodologies
- Experience working with market risk systems, data environments, and second-line market risk management processes including risk appetite and limit monitoring
- Proven audit experience conducting risk and control assessments, issue validation, and control testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and presenting results
