Our client is seeking an Azure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and migration of enterprise cloud environments. This role requires strong collaboration across application, infrastructure, and security teams to build a scalable, secure, and well-governed Azure platform.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Lead design and implementation of Azure cloud architecture (landing zones, VNETs, identity, hybrid connectivity)
- Assess current environments and develop architecture designs, documentation, and migration strategies
- Drive Azure migration initiatives (on-prem to cloud, modernization, containerization)
- Collaborate with AppDev, Infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery
- Implement DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
- Design and deploy cloud-native applications using PaaS and container-based solutions
- Ensure strong security, governance, and compliance controls (RBAC, Key Vault, Defender, policies)
- Establish monitoring, logging, and performance observability frameworks
- Support firewall configurations and secure hybrid cloud networking
- Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Azure architecture and cloud design
- Hands-on experience with Azure migration tools (Azure Migrate, VMs, App Services)
- Experience with containerization and Azure Container Apps / Kubernetes
- Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Azure security, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to work across hybrid environments and complex enterprise networks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with Java (Spring ecosystem) is a plus
