QA Engineer

Our client, a Financial Services firm headquartered in NY, is seeking a QA Engieer to create a next-generation platform for private markets, focusing on seamless client servicing and fund administration. Our mission is to harness next-gen technology to revolutionize operational workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and exceptional client experiences.

As a QA Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our platform. You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to define testing strategies, build automated test suites, and uphold quality standards across the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

Test Strategy & Execution 

  • Design and implement test plans for backend services, workflow engines, and integration layers.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing. 
  • Execute manual testing for complex workflows and edge cases where automation is insufficient.

Collaboration & Quality Advocacy 

  • Work closely with engineers to understand system architecture and identify potential risk areas. 
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality considerations are built in from the start. 
  • Collaborate with product and operations teams to validate business logic and user flows. 

Tooling & Infrastructure 

  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing and reporting. 
  • Track and improve test coverage, system performance, and error rates across environments. 
  • Contribute to observability and alerting strategies to catch issues early in production.  

Compliance & Security 

  • Ensure testing practices align with financial services compliance requirements. 
  • Validate permissioning, audit logging, and data integrity across workflows. 

 Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in QA or software testing, ideally in fintech or private markets. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks. 
  • Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures. 
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration tools.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience testing systems with AI/ML components or agentic workflows is a plus.
